Rainy days tend keep the numbers down at open houses, but we were lucky today to have so many realtors come by the open house at one of our listings. It is always interesting to hear the different comments and takes on the same house. If the realtors all have such varied opinions, you know that the clients will as well. Even if a buyer thinks they know exactly what they want, they often end up buying something that wasn’t exactly in the description at the beginning of their search. I think that is human nature; we think we know what we like until something strikes our emotions. Residential real estate is usually an emotional buy, unlike commercial real estate where it is often numbers driven. Meeting someone’s emotional needs is as important as finding the home with the right number of bedrooms and baths.
That’s why residential real estate is so fascinating and stimulating….never a dull moment.
