Inspections on a prospective home is an interesting and emotional time for both the buyer and seller. The seller hopefully has some idea of what to expect because they have lived in the house, but the buyer has no idea, especially if they are first time buyers. Often buyers are searching deeply for things that are wrong with the house so they can renegotiate an offer or get out of a commitment due to buyer’s remorse. Sellers have to understand that issues that didn’t bother them about their house might not be okay for the buyer. Everyone feels edgy during this time and hopefully the realtor can help their clients keep things in perspective and hold a deal together during this vulnerable time. Bottom line is compromise. It makes most transactions work.
